Santander Consumer Finance focuses on business development related to consumer financing products, sales channels, and commercial agreements with car manufacturers or retail distribution chains, as well as commercial functions linked to direct sales (branches, call centers, or digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties).
The impact you will generate
Santander Consumer Finance is looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) based in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid). The person who joins will be responsible for managing, developing, and consolidating strategic relationships with automotive manufacturers' brands and their dealership networks, in order to drive the business of financing, insurance, and associated services of Santander Consumer Bank. The position requires fluid communication with different levels of the client, including direct interaction with the brand's executive team, ensuring strategic alignment and the achievement of commercial objectives.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Strategic management of the relationship with OEMs
Act as the main point of contact between the brand and Santander Consumer.
Coordinate and manage the interaction with the brand's executive team to ensure understanding of their strategic priorities and their appropriate operational deployment.
Develop strong and trustworthy relationships with commercial, marketing, after-sales, and management personnel.
Drive joint growth plans, commercial campaigns, and loyalty programs.
2. Business development and negotiation
Identify opportunities for improvement in financial penetration, credit sales, leasing, renting, and value-added products.
Negotiate commercial agreements, economic conditions, and annual objectives with the brand.
Analyze results by channel (dealerships, corporate sales, remarketing, etc.) and propose optimization actions.
3. Coordination with the dealership network
Monitor the commercial performance of the network linked to the brand: penetration, activation, profitability, and compliance with KPIs.
Detect specific needs in the network and coordinate internal solutions.
Facilitate communication between the brand, commercial delegate, and dealerships to ensure the correct deployment of the financial strategy.
4. Internal alignment and multidisciplinary management
Work closely with internal areas of Management Control, Risk, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Marketing.
Convey to the organization the strategic requirements of the manufacturer and coordinate their implementation.
Participate in the launch of new financial products and ensure their adaptation to the brand.
5. Analysis, reporting, and follow-up
Prepare executive reports for internal management and for the OEM: business evolution, forecast, profitability, penetration, and variations with respect to objectives.
Conduct market analysis, competition, prices, and consumer trends.
Monitor the compliance of ongoing commercial campaigns and actions.
6. Customer experience and continuous improvement
Manage strategic incidents with an impact on the brand or dealership network.
Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, tools, or product to enhance customer satisfaction.
Drive digitalization and efficiency projects aimed at improving the dealership and end customer experience.

The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position.
Professional experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive, consumer financing, commercial banking, or large account management. (mandatory)
Desirable previous experience with dealership networks or automotive manufacturers.
Education
University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or similar. (mandatory)
Languages
Fluent English. (mandatory)
