Strategic Account Manager Retail

Location: Bogotá, Colombia

40% Travel Expected

As a Strategic Account Manager Retail, you will be responsible for designing, leading, and executing the commercial strategies of the retail channel in the short, medium, and long term to achieve the development of accounts in Colombia, with the goal of ensuring sustainable growth and profitability for both parties (Sanofi & account) while building a productive long-term relationship.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategic Vision:

  • Responsible for the Retail business in the country, managing the strategy, finances, logistics, and commercial execution.
  • Owner of the business, with autonomy to make strategic and operational decisions that impact growth and market sustainability.
  • Link and direct channel between Sanofi and the directors of distributors and chains, ensuring strategic alignment and optimization of commercial opportunities.
  • Designs and leads the Go-To-Market strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's objectives and maximizing market impact.

Strategic and Commercial Management:

  • Works in conjunction with the team of Managers for Sell Out strategies, triangulating with the distributor to define and execute the most effective commercial strategies.
  • Collects and delivers the ROI, being responsible for translating strategies into financial and commercial results.
  • Designs commercial strategies, ensuring that each action has a positive impact on the business.
  • Responsible for analyzing, maintaining, eliminating, or changing commercial plans based on their impact and profitability.

Financial Management and Accountability:

  • Defines, validates, and manages commercial conditions, Gross to Net, pricing structure, and business profitability.
  • Ensures the well-being and health of the collection portfolio, ensuring efficient cash flow management and mitigating financial risks.
  • Responsible for delivering the return on investment (ROI) of each strategy, ensuring decisions based on data and results.

Operational Execution and Leadership:

  • Implements the commercial strategy in the country, ensuring excellence in execution and rigorous compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Supervises the operation of the business, ensuring an optimal balance between growth, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Influences and leads multifunctional teams, acting as the key reference point for the organization.

Impact and Accountability:

  • Uniquely responsible for the accountability of the business, ensuring that each decision and action contribute to the delivery of financial and operational results.
  • Strategic position with a high level of exposure and responsibility, making decisions with direct impact on business results.

About You:

  • Experience: +5 years of experience in commercial roles or similar in pharmaceutical laboratories or related business.
  • Soft Skills: Work in multifunctional teams, teamwork and cross-functional cooperation, good communication, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients. Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities. Orientation to results and customers/patients.
  • Hard Skills: Extensive knowledge and management of the retail channel, management of key accounts, negotiation experience, good command of Excel, and tools that allow analysis. Knowledge of financial variables such as gross sales, net sales, price definition, discounts, profitability, and ability to read and interpret profit and loss statements, identifying opportunities and capitalizing on them.
  • Education: Business, Engineering, Administration, Health Sciences or related fields.
  • Languages: Fluent Spanish and intermediate/advanced English oral and written.
