McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Help Desk Specialist who will support our corporate HQ, satellite offices and employees working on-site at DoD facilities. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule driven environment.
- Provide technical support to employees including troubleshooting end-user technology problems, assisting with account set up maintenance and related operations.
- Assist IT team with technical implementations and compliance/cybersecurity initiatives
- Assist ISSM with technical implementations and audit functions
- Develops, maintains and updates technical process documentation
- Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk ticketing system
- Respond to employee support queries by phone and email
- Create step-by-step training material with screenshots for employees
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software and hardware
- Document internal support procedures
- Work through the problem-solving process with employees, empowering them to do the same in the future
- Perform diagnostics to efficiently resolve problems
- Report significant and recurring issues to the Network Engineer for further analysis
- Assist network engineer with resolving technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
- Collect feedback to determine patterns and issues
Requirements:
- Off-hours availability
- Full time position, in the office for the full day, every day (7:15am - 4:00pm)
