Internship – Machine Maintenance Introduction (Summer 2026)

Our Expectations

Under the supervision of the Technical Service Manager in the Reliability and Maintenance department, the Technical Support Intern will contribute to the implementation of initiatives and best practices in project management for equipment reliability and improvement.

The main goal will be to assist the technical support team in increasing production rates to meet the 2026 targets of the Longueuil Manufacturing Center. You will collaborate with various departments across the organization to bring expertise and best practices beneficial to maintenance throughout these transformation projects.

What Will Your Daily Routine Look Like?

  • Provide excellent customer service to help achieve production objectives.
  • Participate in quality clinics with production and maintenance teams.
  • Monitor special improvement projects on the shop floor as part of the transformation program.
  • Assist in developing technical specifications for the acquisition of new machines.
  • Develop, optimize, and standardize maintenance plans for critical machine components.
  • Participate in the installation of new machines.
  • Create and introduce new maintenance procedures.
  • Support and optimize preventive maintenance activities.
  • Update machine records (PM checklists, critical parts).
  • Coordinate and assist with maintenance projects in collaboration with client staff.
  • Perform weekly statistical analyses (MTBF, MTTR, OEE, etc.).
  • Identify critical machines and manage improvement projects.
  • Order parts for critical machines.
  • Evaluate alternatives with production teams for obsolete equipment.
  • Follow up on "overhaul" or retrofit projects for end-of-life equipment.
  • Update machine records following modifications.

What You Need to Succeed

Must-haves:

  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Enrollment in a Canadian university for the entire internship period.
  • Ability to work on-site in the province where you are hired.
  • Advanced level of French (spoken and written).
  • Currently pursuing studies in Engineering, Human Resources (HR), or Operations and Production Management (OPM).
  • Proficiency in basic Office software (mainly Excel, Outlook, OneNote).

  • Organizational skills.
  • Autonomy, leadership, initiative, prioritization, and diplomacy.
