Community Event & Project Coordinator

The Community Event Coordinator will elevate the bank's community presence, foster meaningful partnerships, and lead impactful events. You'll handle essential administrative duties, working across our Coastal Region branches, and support marketing as needed. You are the face of our brand in the community and the driving force behind seamless coordination between our branches and teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute branch and community events (open houses, toy drives, customer appreciation days, etc.) with end-to-end oversight.
  • Coordinate logistics: venues, vendors, AV, catering, signage, staffing, and volunteer
  • Manage budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, process invoices, and evaluate event success through feedback.
  • Coordinate logistics for and attend quarterly Coastal advisory board meetings
  • Capture photos and gather written content from local events, sponsorships, and community activities for Marketing's use on bank social media, print, and digital marketing
  • Partner with the Marketing Department to ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms and communications.
  • Uphold and promote the bank's brand standards in the Coastal Market, ensuring a cohesive look and feel in all local marketing.

Community Engagement & Sponsorship

  • Proactively generate new ideas and manage sponsorship opportunities (schools, festivals, sports, etc.) with clear negotiation and tracking.
  • Represent the bank at local chambers, ribbon-cuttings, nonprofit forums, and networking events, cultivating strong partnerships.
  • Oversee chamber memberships and sponsorships to maximize exposure and community
  • Understanding of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and apply its principles when evaluating sponsorships, donations, and marketing decisions to ensure compliance and community impact.

Administrative Support & Coordination

  • Support Regional President on administrative
  • Provide flexible support for the miscellaneous branch and project
  • Track projects and communicate deadlines as needed.
  • Organize Coastal meetings as needed including materials and equipment
  • Coordinate branded merchandise, promotional items, and marketing materials with the Marketing Department for the
  • Maintain an understanding of bank compliance regulations and ensure all activities align with applicable guidelines.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in event coordination, banking, or administrative
  • Experience in Savannah area event planning, catering or venue management preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational
  • Strong written, verbal, and public-speaking
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Natural relationship-builder with strong ties to community, civic groups, and
  • Familiarity with Savannah-area vendors and venues is

  • Physically capable: Able to lift 50 and stay active during event setup and execution.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Physically engaging role. Must be ready to manage both coordination and hands-on event presence.
