We have a new and exciting opportunity for an Ecommerce National Account Manager to work within the Ecommerce Team and join us in building a best-in-class high performing pureplay sales team. Amazon is the cornerstone of the Ecommerce Transformation strategy and biggest opportunity over the next 3 years.

Moving to a multi-functional dedicated customer team structure in the UK can deliver +£10MM NNS/ accretive OP improvement (2 -3 Yrs).

With the right dedicated individual, we will help define & support the right approach & maximise our Ecommerce ambitions.

This role will help shape the future by setting the standards and create the culture for other markets to follow. The day to day is to accelerate & drive profitable sales on Amazon supporting and managing the P&L (£19m annual turnover), and indirectly supporting Ocado (£3m annual turnover).

We want to take our brands to new heights by disrupting the categories we play in to deliver explosive top and bottom line growth.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager
  • Working with the brand leads across the PZ Cussons business.
  • Share best practice and create consistent ways of working across the Business Units

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

  • The focus will initially be on a 1p vendor model and to deliver on and above the budget. You will create a compelling JBP and translate the strategy into execution. Work cross functionally to make things happen.
  • Track performance within the dashboard and bring the updates back to the Amazon Turbo Team in line with the KPIs set.
  • This role will create/support a consumer facing, brand building Commercial Plan for Amazon.
  • It will be the guardian and steward of the PZ Brands with our Amazon agency.
  • The role will work with the Amazon agency to drive decision making based on the insight to continue to course correct business plans.
  • It will own the Amazon account and be responsible for the P&L, pricing, forecasting, and preparing weekly sales numbers.
  • Work with the Demand Planning team to ensure forecasts are accurate and in line with targets and customer requirements.
  • You will be the person that Amazon want to work with and act on agility so we are always delivering on or ahead of expectations.
  • You will have the autonomy to work on channel specific innovation when there is an insight that comes from a consumer need.
  • Work with the SNAM on Amazon international expansion as we plan to Launch into Europe and the Middle East.
  • Get stuck in - You will need to flex your day to day focus to support critical needs of the business as we grow.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple resources, priorities and deliverables to tight deadlines. Able to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organisation and understanding different perspectives.
  • Create and foster a high-performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Consistently identify improvement and innovation opportunities within the team and implement processes, ways of working or facilitate training to address improvement opportunities.
  • You will build the working practices of PZ Cussons into industry leading best practice as well as other projects as and when required.
  • You will be in the detail working to improve our efficiencies in the Amazon supply chain reducing fines and improving profitability.
  • Analyse account performance and market behaviours to identify opportunities, optimise and grow the account.

Knowledge/Qualifications:

  • Experience in eCommerce preferred but not essential.
  • Experience of working with external partners preferable but not essential.
  • Demonstrate success in managing and developing sales growth with through optimal JBPs.
  • Experience working with consumers/brands in Pureplay / Ecommerce role to create mutually profitable long-term working relationships.
  • Understanding of the retail, media & digital landscape to understand how this all fits together as part of a brand channel strategy.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel demonstrating the use of analysis to develop plans.
  • Experienced in tracking and reporting on brand and commercial performance.
  • You should have an appetite to represent and grow the world’s leading brands, directly contributing to their success within the most competitive marketplace – Amazon.
  • As importantly, you will be a key protector and driver of the culture within the Ecommerce Team.
  • You will be a strong influencer, communicator and can collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • You will be able to influence and inspire using both hard and soft management skills.
  • Strong communicator/influencer – demonstrates some experience in influencing immediate stake holders internally and externally at same level and above with aptitude in storytelling, presentation writing and delivery.
  • Passionate about FMCG / Consumer facing retail brands & products.
  • Adapt at working to product launch and executing marketing toolbox / content.
  • Strong commercial mindset to manage JBP negotiations, outcomes, and outputs.
  • Ability to work with external business partners e.g. Amazon agency and can represent our brands and company with such business partners.
  • Excellent P&L understanding that flows into a desirable JBP.
  • Highly organised and capable of juggling many tasks at once, thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to follow direction.
  • Ability to influence other functions.
