Account Executive Home Health & Hospice

Under general direction of the Sr Vice President Program Development, Account Executive will be responsible for promoting the utilization of community-based healthcare services—including home health, hospice, and private duty sitters—within assisted living communities. This sales-driven role builds strategic relationships with Executive Directors and clinical leaders to demonstrate the value these services bring to resident care and operational outcomes. Liaison will serve as a key connector between service providers and assisted living teams, ensuring seamless integration and high-impact collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Relationship Development
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with assisted living Executive Directors and clinical teams.
  • Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and strategic discussions to promote service adoption.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand service utilization within assigned communities.
  • Collaborate with internal service line leaders to align offerings with community needs.
  • Work with Sr Vice President of Program Development in securing and contracting the coordination and start-up of new accounts.
  • Work with Sr Vice President of Program Development in evaluating and qualifying new business opportunities, developing strategic territory plans, executing those plans effectively, and targeting high potential prospective customers in order to achieve annual goals.
  • Identify business opportunities through sales calls, referrals, tradeshows, and marketing to Skilled Nursing, assisted living, and behavioral health facilities.
  • Service Promotion & Education
  • Showcase the benefits of home health, hospice, and private duty sitters through tailored messaging and educational materials.
  • Facilitate lunch-and-learns, workshops, and peer-to-peer engagement sessions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on community-based services and their impact on resident outcomes.
  • Operational Coordination
  • Act as liaison between assisted living communities and service delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support.
  • Monitor referral activity, service utilization trends, and satisfaction metrics.
  • Troubleshoot barriers to service adoption and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Operations, Talent Acquisition, Clinical Leadership, and Partner Services to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with community stakeholders to assess evolving needs.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking functions, and community forums.
  • Communications & Reporting
  • Coordinate with promotional content and outreach materials tailored to assisted living audiences.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on partnership progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
  • Maintain CRM records and reporting dashboards to track engagement and performance.

Travel Requirements

Frequent travel to assisted living communities within assigned territory is required.

Licensure, Certification, Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2+ years of prior sales experience, preferably healthcare, senior living, or home-based services.
  • Ability to manage a territory, to conduct sales calls and presentations, and to generate new business opportunities by building business partnerships.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with assisted living operations and resident care models is highly desirable.
  • Ability to develop operational knowledge base to support sales activities.
  • Ability to analyze territory, establish sales goals and write a sales plan.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
