Vendor Relations Representative

Our firm is partnering with a casual, family-oriented marketing and financial solutions provider to find an organized and assertive professional for their vendor relations team. In this role, you are not cold-calling. Instead, you are conducting outbound calls to established business partners to advise them of program updates and present available operational options.

Because these vendors already have pre-existing relationships with the companies involved, they are generally receptive to these discussions. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, phone-based environment and wants to work for a stable company that values accountability and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Outreach: Conduct structured outbound calls to existing vendors to advise them of changes in program terms.
  • Program Education: Clearly and accurately present options available to business partners, ensuring they understand how changes factor into their business operations.
  • Administrative Accuracy: Effectively multitask between calls by logging detailed notes and utilizing copy/paste functions to maintain data integrity.
  • Performance Excellence: Maintain high standards of performance and assume personal accountability for completing all daily tasks.
  • Technical Adaptation: Quickly learn and adapt to technology and process changes to ensure an efficient workflow.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Professional Background: Previous experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) outreach, professional call centers, or sales is required.
  • Technical Literacy: Strong computer skills and a typing speed of at least 35 WPM. Knowledge of accounting terminology is a significant plus.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to handle professional phone interactions and pass a basic computer and phone skills assessment.
  • Coachability: Must be open to constructive coaching and willing to adapt communication techniques.
  • Reliability: Exemplary attendance and punctuality are mandatory for success in this role.
  • Local Residency: Applicants must live in the Tampa Bay area and have reliable transportation to the office.
