Customer Service Support Associate

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, First Shift

Pay Rate: $21 to $23/hr

Location: Curtis Bay, MD

Supports the day-to-day operations of the Inside Sales Staff in promoting sales and technical assistance. Participates in the marketing and sale of company's products and services, provides input regarding pricing, products, competition, and procedures, assists with various projects and greets and assists customers and vendors who personally come in the company.

Customer Service Support Associate Essential Functions

  • Work closely with Customer Service Reps and marketing staff to meet and exceed Branch sales and gross profit objectives.
  • Actively participate in the marketing and sale of Border States' products and services.
  • Consistently provide responsive, quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide input to BSE personnel on customer needs or concerns regarding pricing, products, competition, and procedures.
  • Assist with various projects throughout the branch including data entry projects using SAP, Email, Microsoft Office software, and/or other third-party software and other office-related duties as assigned.
  • Greets and assists customers and vendors who personally come in to BSE.

Customer Service Support Associate Qualifications

  • Minimum of a two-year business, accounting, or office degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
  • Prior knowledge of general accounting duties, operating a variety of office equipment, and a switchboard with the ability to perform various data entry projects preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English preferred.
  • Prefer good working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Internet, Email, and SAP software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills are preferred with the ability to effectively plan and organize.
  • Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive, and engaged.
