The position is based at our Longueuil location; from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Under the supervision of the Technical Manager in the Reliability and Maintenance Service Department, the technical support team will ensure the implementation of initiatives and best practices in equipment improvement and reliability project management. The primary objective will be to assist the team in achieving the 2026 targets for the Longueuil manufacturing center. This team will work with various organizations within the company to contribute its expertise and best practices to benefit the maintenance of production equipment.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Participate in quality clinics with the production and maintenance teams
  • Monitor special projects on the shop floor
  • Participate in the development of technical specifications for the acquisition of new machines
  • Develop maintenance and standardization documentation for machine components
  • Participate in the installation of new machines
  • Implement new maintenance procedures
  • Support and update preventive maintenance already performed
  • Update machine documentation (PM checklists, critical parts)
  • Supervise maintenance projects in collaboration with the client's staff
  • Perform weekly statistical analysis (MTBF, MTTR)
  • Identify top 10 machines and manage improvement projects
  • Order critical machine parts
  • Evaluate obsolete equipment
  • Monitor machine overhaul, retrofit, or decommissioning projects
  • Update machine documentation following an overhaul or decommissioning (parts, drawings, etc.)

What do you need to be successful?

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar or equivalent role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Expertise with CNC machines, 5-axis machining, and precision mechanics

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
