The Desktop Support Technician's II (DST II) role is to provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware, mobile devices and equipment to ensure optimal performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance when/where required. Escalates more complex issues to a level III Tech or the IT Manager.

Associate degree preferred or relevant field or equivalent work experience. 2yrs experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with current Windows OS. Experience with Microsoft Office, Apple IOS, Citrix, VMWare, MDM environment. Experience in responding to ticket-based support system. Great customer service skills. Great problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast–paced work environment.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a DST II to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The DST II is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Office-based, in a temperature-controlled environment. Typical working hours for the DST II are generally Monday – Friday during normal business hours. Occasional travel to active construction sites in Portland and state wide. This may include adverse weather conditions.
