We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payments & IT Support Specialist to join our team. This hybrid role focuses primarily on supporting and optimizing our payments operations while also providing secondary support for desktop IT issues. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong understanding of digital payments processes, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a hands-on approach to IT support.

Responsibilities

Payments Operations (Primary Responsibility – 80%)

  • Test and monitor payment workflows (incoming and outgoing) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Handle incoming tickets related to payment issues, including failed transactions, fraud alerts, and payout queries.
  • Support the Payments team and management with insights and recommendations on payment methods, system improvements, and compliance topics.
  • Collaborate with internal IT/development teams to define, prioritize, and implement user stories within sprint cycles.
  • Assist in the maintenance and configuration of internal online payment platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related incidents in coordination with third-party providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Document procedures, workflows, and technical guidelines related to payment operations.

Desktop Support (Secondary Responsibility – 20%)

  • Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft 365, and enterprise applications.
  • Assist with employee onboarding/offboarding, including account and equipment setup.
  • Maintain and track hardware inventory; coordinate repairs and warranty claims.
  • Resolve basic networking issues (LAN/Wi-Fi), user access requests, and minor Active Directory tasks.
  • Support video conferencing and meeting room technologies (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
  • Escalate complex technical problems to relevant IT teams when necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in technical informatics or business informatics or similar qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in payment operations, fintech, or e-commerce environments.
  • Familiarity with digital payment flows (card payments, SEPA, PayPal, etc.).
  • Experience in IT support or desktop support roles is a strong advantage.
  • Relevant experience with JIRA, Confluence and SQL is a competitive advantage.
  • Solid understanding of Windows/Mac operating systems and Microsoft 365.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Absolute fluency in written and spoken English to communicate with our international customers and colleagues is mandatory. Hungarian is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across departments.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and service-oriented mindset.
