Responsibilities:

  • Works with the lab supervisor, lead medical technologist and technical specialists to provide direction for the technical build for the LIS system.
  • Provides Information Management (IM) support for the laboratory section and clinical laboratory technologists.
  • Works with the laboratory management team and DLMP-IT to carry out test implementation in the LIS and provide IM support for problem solving and troubleshooting within the work unit.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical laboratory work experience required.
  • Must be capable of performing under time constraints, multi-tasking, and working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Must possess good communication skills and be able to work closely with others.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Familiarity with personal computers for word processing, spreadsheet preparation and laboratory information systems.
  • ASCP or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required within 12 months of hire depending on the laboratory specialty and prevailing regulatory requirements.

Exemption Status: Nonexempt

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended; $34.75 - $52.11 / hour.

Schedule Details: M-F, weekends as needed
