Account Manager

The primary function of this position is to provide quality service to clients. The Account Manager will be the day-to-day liaison between the client, the respective insurance company, and the producer.

Daily servicing of clients will include the service work associated with the clients' accounts, including all endorsement activity, various and routine coverage questions, problem solving, renewal processes, binding of coverages as necessary, assisting customers with billing inquiries, and accuracy checking of policies. The only exceptions are bond and claims related items which are handled by those departments.

This is a full-time position reporting to our office located in Little Rock, AR.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurance companies.
  • Foster a positive and mutually supportive working environment in order to provide the best possible client service and Producer support.
  • Provide prompt, timely, accurate and consistent communications to clients and insurance companies through verbal and written communications.
  • Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures.
  • Maintain client files in AMS360 and use AMS360 for processing of all transactions and consistent client file/policy management.
  • Process daily communications (mail, email, phone requests) responding promptly and appropriately.
  • Assist with preparing applications and proposals.
  • Process and document renewal submissions with timely follow up to insure timely responses.
  • Proactive and strategic anticipation of client needs and timely response to client inquiries and Producer requests.
  • Assist clients in making appropriate coverage changes; inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, exposures and audits with appropriate documentation.
  • Renew and remarket/requote accounts as needed in conjunction with agency standards and producer request.
  • Maintain client files accurately and consistently documenting communications, sending confirmations to clients, and informing the producer.
  • Accompany Producer on prospect or client meetings as needed.
  • Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items, verifying their accuracy and forwarding to client with appropriate correspondence.
  • Review policy audits, verifying accuracy and facilitating needed corrections.
  • Maintain policy premium accounting detail whether direct bill basis or agency bill basis.
  • Manage time to facilitate efficient workflow, timely and accurate processing of all transactions and other responsibilities.
  • Grow knowledge through agency paid continuing education courses and designation programs.
  • Focused attention to detail and quality control of vital insurance document creation and communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (Preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Active AR Property & Casualty insurance license (Required)
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products
  • A passion for being part of a team that drives our company to industry leadership
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and clients
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
