Job Posting

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Answer telephone; Receive and enter requests from internal and external parties into Laboratory Information System
  2. Contacts clients for problem resolution
  3. Perform a variety of routine administrative tasks as it relates to pathology cases
  4. Troubleshoot and implement case corrections in Laboratory Information System
  5. Handle new account/client set up
  6. Maintain competency through web-based Standard Operating Procedure updates as well as educational modules
  7. Use automated lab equipment properly according to lab procedures and manufacturer's instructions
  8. Adheres to all PBM Safety policies and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies
  9. Learn and apply computer related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices
  10. Protects confidentiality of patient information and results at all times
  11. Ensure work area has proper coverage at all times during the work shift, ie coverage for meal and/or rest periods
  12. Immediately notifies supervisory personnel of malfunctioning instrumentation
  13. Handle infectious biological specimens, caustics, toxic chemicals and/or irritants appropriately and safely
  14. Perform other duties as assigned or requested
