Alarm Monitoring Support Specialist

This role is integral to supporting the overall success and operational efficiency of PTI's alarm monitoring services. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the position is based at the Victoria Operations Centre but extends support to all regions within our alarm monitoring network. It is a full-time position requiring flexibility, self-managed scheduling, and the ability to travel throughout North America.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementing and maintaining technology to support a redundant alarm monitoring operational infrastructure.
• Conduct testing to identify vulnerabilities within systems, processes, and alarm monitoring facilities.
• Assess physical, structural, and network infrastructure to develop countermeasures against system and process weaknesses.
• Perform audits and act as a subject matter expert on the implementation and review of ULC/UL standards and industry best practices.
• Document detailed system features, requirements, and data flow diagrams to support current operations and future technology roadmap.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues for the Monitoring Operations Infrastructure.
• Respond to and resolve IT technical issues encountered by end-users.
• Support the team in maintaining inventory and tracking equipment assets.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in working with and troubleshooting with various IT Systems
• Demonstrates technical aptitude and eagerness to learn.

Salary Range $55,000 - $65,000 DOE
