In this role you will:

• Follow recipes and guidelines and SOPs accurately to maintain the quality and consistency of our products.
• Plan, carry out and report baking experiments in agreement with the industry technology specialists/managers.
• Ensure that results are reliable, delivered on time, documented clearly in laboratory relevant databases.
• Ensure development and implementation of new methods and understanding the equipment to solve technical problems together with the team.
• Strive towards improving skills in baking methods by seeking education and experience where necessary.
• Contribution on a well performing department by sharing responsibility for the groups function and taking part in general maintenance in the baking lab.
• Ensure compliance with Novonesis policies, quality, safety, ZEAL and QMS procedures.
• Actively contribute to the implementation of function strategies together with the team.
• Ensure good co-operation within the other functions.
• Safely and efficiently operate baking equipment.
• Take part in maintaining a clean and organized work area, always following sanitation and food safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in baking, incorporating them into menu development and production.
• Maintain a clean and organized lab area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient baking trials and timely completion of the reports.
• Join sensorial evaluations of the finished products.

In this role you'll make an impact mainly by:

• Conduct trials on different baking applications like bread (volume, soft, crusty and frozen bread categories) flat bread, biscuit, cake, wafer and pasta.
• Basic flour analyses
• Effective reporting using the digital platforms.

Potentially relevant experience:

• Formal qualification on Baking or Bachelor of Science preferably in Food Technology or any related Food Science area.
• 5+ years' experience in baking or flour milling laboratory is preferable.
• Strong understanding of different types of flour, enzymes, yeast, and other baking ingredients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other team members.
• Scientific knowledge of flour and bread types.
• Ability to understand products and significance of tests conducted.
• Knowledge on different baking applications recipe & process.
