Business Development / Account Manager (M/W/D) German Speaker - Remote

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an ambitious team and contribute significantly to the expansion of NielsenIQ (NIQ) in the media sector – with clients such as media agencies, social media agencies, and media providers. The role is particularly suitable for candidates who wish to develop and grow in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

As part of the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for the sales of media usage data, advertising effectiveness solutions, and target group activation products based on NIQ consumer, retail, and cross-media panel data. Your focus will be on developing and implementing strategic sales plans, building sustainable customer relationships, and increasing revenue through data-as-a-service solutions. You will support customers in optimizing their target group approach, media planning, and campaign measurement using NIQ data.

We are looking for a sales-driven, self-motivated individual with experience in the digital and data field, who proactively explores new business opportunities, acts flexibly, and works successfully both independently and as part of a team.

Main Tasks

  • Building and developing new business opportunities with agencies, publishers, and advertisers
  • Managing the entire sales cycle (pitches, pipeline, RFI/RFPs, pricing, offers, contract negotiations)
  • Active pipeline management and consistent follow-up on opportunities
  • Advisory sales for the precise positioning of NIQ solutions (data, insights, advertising effectiveness, target group activation)
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction and growth
  • Close collaboration with internal teams (Commercial, Product, Client Success)
  • Creating compelling presentations and supporting customer development
  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets in line with company objectives

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales/business development (preferably in media, AdTech, or data)
  • Good understanding of media planning, media buying, target group data, and measurement solutions
  • Proven sales achievements and strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in proposal and pricing management as well as in pipeline management
  • Analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
  • Independent and team-oriented working style in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM knowledge is an advantage
  • Relevant academic degree is desirable
  • Network in media/social agencies (preferably at senior level), programmatic/data contacts are advantageous
  • Fluent in German and English
