Coordinator, Content Sales

Reporting to the Head of Content Sales, the Coordinator supports day-to-day operations, assisting with the planning, execution, and delivery of content-driven sponsorship programs. The coordinator will work in a team environment across internal departments and external partners, helping to track deliverables, manage timelines, and support administrative functions and live events. This role requires availability on some evenings and weekends to support partner-sponsored programming at the NYRR RunCenter featuring the New Balance RunHub, as well as NYRR races and marquee events such as the TCS New York City Marathon. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment. They bring strong communication skills, a working understanding of branded content, marketing, or media planning, and a proactive approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously. This position offers exposure to a wide range of learning opportunities and hands-on experience supporting high-profile partner programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to supervisors including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, organizing files, compiling reports and maintaining project trackers and calendars
- Organize and maintain a shared drive of creative assets, trackers, and documentation to ensure accessibility and accuracy across the team
- Attend and contribute to meetings by taking notes and drafting concise recaps and actionable summaries
- Support the development of content sales by drafting sales collateral and supporting the team in sales meetings
- Proofread and format decks and documents to ensure all materials are accurate, up-to-date, visually clear, and on-brand
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional departments to ensure content sponsorships are executed on time and in alignment with partner expectations
- Provide support for budgeting, invoicing, and documentation processes related to sponsored content and event activations
- Attend assigned races and productions, supporting event execution in all weather conditions to help ensure successful delivery of media and partner activations (which may include signage setup, hospitality support, product distribution, or volunteer coordination)
- Liaise with internal teams to track content milestones and ensure timely delivery of sponsorship-related assets
- Contribute to the ongoing development of department workflows, processes, tools, and documentation
- Assist in researching potential new partners and opportunities for content-driven sponsorship
- Stay informed on competitive and marketplace trends, sharing relevant updates with the team to inform planning and strategy
- Provide general support to the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships team on seasonal campaigns and special projects
- Demonstrate strong decision-making, critical thinking, and a proactive mindset to meet fast-paced deadlines
- Adapt to feedback and apply learnings to improve performance and contribution to team goals
Job Requirements
- Familiarity with content marketing, sponsorships, and/or media planning; experience supporting pitch development, direct sales or campaign execution is a plus
- Previous employment or internship with a sports property through a league, university or similar organization, media organization, digital/content team, or integrated marketing/media sales agency
- Project management experience
- Two or four-year degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field preferred

- Working knowledge of Salesforce and presentation design software a plus

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors for long-periods of time (standing and/or sitting)
Other Requirements
- All staff are required to work the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, RBC Brooklyn Half Marathon, and the TCS NYC Marathon.
Salary: $55,000/year (overtime eligible)
