The Role
Facilities Upkeep & Repair: Support day-to-day maintenance needs across all NYP locations, including patching + painting, wallpaper repair, fixture adjustments, light carpentry, and general repairs to ensure studios remain clean, functional, and beautiful.
Light Plumbing & Electrical: Assist with basic plumbing and electrical tasks (ex: swapping dimmers, tightening fittings, bulb replacements) and help identify when specialty vendors are needed.
Hamptons Coverage: Provide periodic on-site support in the Hamptons, batching tasks to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Project Support & Vendor Coordination: Help source materials, pull measurements, coordinate specialty trades, and oversee small-scale facilities improvements as needed.
Quality Control: Ensure finishes, repairs, and fixtures meet NYP's design-forward aesthetic; track issues, identify maintenance needs proactively, and maintain consistent brand standards across all spaces.
Communication & Documentation: Track work completed, provide simple estimates before beginning scoped tasks, and maintain clear communication with Studio Operations via Slack / email.
What We're Looking For
3–5+ years of relevant experience in facilities, maintenance, or handyperson roles (hospitality, retail, boutique fitness experience a plus).
Strong hands-on skills in carpentry, minor electrical, light plumbing, and general repair.
