Desktop Support Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Princeton, New Jersey, within the automotive industry. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems, software applications, and hardware across dealership locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, dealership-specific software, and hardware peripherals.
  • Collaborate with engineering and networking teams to address basic network tasks, including patch panel work, switch replacements, and resolving cabling issues.
  • Respond promptly to technical emergencies and resolve critical incidents efficiently.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, including one evening per week and one Saturday every five weeks.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of systems and ensure regular updates to minimize downtime.
  • Travel to various dealership locations to provide onsite technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Apply creative problem-solving techniques to resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Requirements:

    • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, such as desktop or helpdesk roles.
    • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle (transportation allowance provided).
    • Strong proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and standard desktop applications.
    • Experience diagnosing and replacing hardware components, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
    • Familiarity with basic networking concepts, including IP configurations and other standard protocols.
    • Excellent skills in troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs.
    • Strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skills to build positive client relationships.
