It Support Officer
MSS Security is seeking a technically skilled and security-cleared IT Support Officer to join our team at a critical infrastructure location - BlueScope Steel in Port Kembla. This is a dynamic, hands-on role supporting both corporate and operational technologies across a critical infrastructure environment. You'll work closely with security personnel and management to ensure systems run smoothly, securely, and with minimal downtime.
This is a Monday to Friday position – perfect for someone looking for work-life balance and a stable, long-term role within a secure and supportive environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide IT support to on-site security and administrative teams
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (PCs, networks, printers, CCTV, access control)
- Manage and escalate incidents in line with company protocols
- Support system upgrades, user onboarding, and equipment setups
- Maintain and monitor site-based IT infrastructure and digital security systems
- Ensure documentation and asset registers are kept up to date
- Liaise with central IT teams and third-party vendors as required
What we're looking for:
- Experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical field service role
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, basic networking, and IT hardware
- Ability to work autonomously and within a high-security environment
Essential licenses & certifications:
- Current NSW Security License
- Advanced First Aid Certificate (HLTAID014 or equivalent)
- Full Drivers license
- MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) certificate or willing to obtain one
