Do you have a passion for healthcare and a heart of service? Look no further than Saint Luke's! This is a full-time position working days, from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The role involves in-patient phlebotomy and specimen processing. A preference for candidates with 1-2 years of experience is noted. The job entails collecting patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy, documenting receipt of patient samples in the Lab Information System (LIS), and preparing them for analysis.

The candidate will collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures, and regulatory standards. They will correlate patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR, perform and report Point of Care laboratory testing as required, and use education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Effective communication with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections is also essential.
