Inventory Customer Service Specialist

Responsible for answering phone calls and emails to schedule deliveries. Assists with data input and maintenance of product and donor receipts. Assist Inventory Coordinator and Inventory Manager with upkeep of Warehouse Management System. Responsible for timely and accurate data entry into the inventory system for product donations, purchases, and transfers.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules all inbound product loads and posts on incoming products calendar
  • Assists in data input (receipting) and maintenance of product/order records and item number catalog.
  • Generates receipts for donors including direct retail pickups.
  • Provides item numbers and pull locations for incoming products to members of the operations team.
  • Assists Inventory Manager with product recall, monitoring, and distribution.
  • Maintains accurate product records and donor files to ensure effective daily operations.
  • Creates receipts of all products received including USDA, Ohio Ag., OFP, Vendor Purchased, Feeding America, Second Servings, Direct Partner pickups, food donations and other special purchases.
  • Prepares invoices for direct retail pickups.
  • Assists with TEFAP product acquisition allocations from PDO.
  • Serves as backup in absence of Inventory Coordinator
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Certifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Food Safety Certification (provided by Mid-Ohio Foodbank)

Experience: At least one year's experience in an office environment is required. Experience with data entry. Experience with inventory control systems and knowledge of accurate inventory control practices and procedures preferred.

Skills/Competencies: Good math skills. Extremely detail oriented and organized. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good critical thinking skills. Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team environment. Microsoft Office experience required. Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.

Job Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional work in a warehouse environment may be required. Mid-Ohio Food Collective is a Drug-Free Workplace.
