Customer Service Representative 1

Position Summary:

The Customer Service Representative 1 will be responsible for all customer inquiries/transactions. This position is a front-line representative of Methode and will conduct position responsibilities with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides order status and information support to customers
  • Enters customer purchase orders into accounting and scheduling system
  • Acts as customer representative to other internal departments
  • Acts as corporate representative to the customer
  • Works with Sales Engineers to communicate all aspects of customer orders with customer
  • Assists the Sales Manager in all duties and other tasks as assigned
  • Enters parts orders and confirm with customers
  • Generates quotes in business system from Service Reports
  • Follows-up on customer to submit purchase orders for service quotes
  • Converts quotes to order
  • Prepares credit paperwork for review and approval
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience in electronics industry preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to complete tasks independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to seek out new tasks and welcome new challenges in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and various levels of management both written and verbal
  • High School diploma or equivalent

The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is: $22/hr

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
