The Meridian Partners seeks a versatile and proactive Microsoft 365 Administrator with 3–5 years of hands-on experience whose primary role will be to support enterprise collaboration, user productivity, and system stability within the Microsoft 365 space. This multifaceted role also includes minor Tier 1-2 Help Desk support (3-5 service tickets per week) and Web development/maintenance responsibilities (8 updates per month). The position plays a critical part in delivering seamless IT services and maintaining a secure, user-friendly digital environment for internal and public-facing systems.
Microsoft 365 Administration – Primary Role:
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
- Administer users, groups, roles, licenses, and security settings.
- Monitor platform performance and resolve service issues or outages.
- Implement and enforce security configurations, including MFA, conditional access, and DLP policies.
- Create and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate and PowerShell scripts.
Secondary Responsibilities Include:
Help Desk Administration
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support to agency staff (in-person and remote) – Help desk receives 3-5 support tickets per week.
- Manage and track service tickets using the agency's ITSM tool.
- Assist with setup, imaging, patching, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Support onboarding and offboarding procedures (e.g., account provisioning, hardware setup).
- Maintain inventory and documentation for IT hardware and software assets.
Web Development & Maintenance
- Maintain and update agency intranet and external websites (e.g., SharePoint Online, WordPress, or Visual Studio/HTML-based sites).
- Ensure compliance with federal web standards including Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
- Collaborate with content owners to update web pages and implement improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve web-related issues, such as broken links, page load problems, or plugin failures.
- Perform quality assurance and user acceptance testing prior to site updates.
Additional Duties:
- User security/administration for two applications: the agency's AgLearn system and Microsoft's Dataverse application.
What You Will Bring For Success:
- 3–5 years of experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience in help desk support, including ticketing systems and technical troubleshooting.
- At least 1 year of experience with basic web development and maintenance (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS platforms).
- Basic knowledge or background in Microsoft's Dataverse application.
- Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, Office Suite, and enterprise tools.
- Familiarity with federal IT security practices and compliance standards.
- Proficient in PowerShell and basic scripting.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Required Certification: MD-102 Endpoint Admin Associate (replaces MD-100: Managing Modern Desktops / MD-101: Windows Client Security) or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred)
- Deploy and upgrade windows operating system
- Configure and manage connectivity, storage, and data access
- Secure devices and data using Microsoft Intune and Defender
- Manage identity, access, compliance policies and configuration profiles
- Use tools like Window Autopilot, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience with federal government agencies or contractors.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Designer, WordPress, or Drupal.
- Understanding of FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, and Section 508 compliance
