Key Account Manager

In the area of key account management, we are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager (m/w/d) starting January 1, 2027, with a place of employment and residence in Baden-Württemberg.

The position is aimed at candidates with proven, multi-year experience in strategic key account management, who have already independently managed complex customer structures on a national or regional level.

As a Key Account Manager (m/w/d) (KAM), you will be the central strategic contact person for defined key accounts and customer groups. You will work self-organized in an autonomous key account team and will be responsible for the holistic approach and care of all purchasing entities in line with our overall strategy.

Your customers will include, in particular, purchasing associations including affiliated clinics, clinic consortia, manufacturing companies, cytopharmacies, as well as specialty and wholesale distributors.

Your responsibilities as a strategic navigator for our key accounts:

Comprehensive customer understanding:

  • You will develop and proactively build your customer relationships and network.
  • You will independently acquire and analyze all available data on your key accounts to make informed decisions, provide recommendations, or develop effective strategies.
  • You will create structured key account profiles.
  • You will identify cooperation opportunities and innovative projects for long-term profitable relationships.

Comprehensive customer management:

  • Together with your team members, you will develop the strategic and operational priorities in line with the overall strategy.
  • You will be the lead in the key account planning in coordination with the sales and medical departments.
  • You will act as the negotiator in the annual negotiations with our customers/customer groups.
  • You will continuously review the agreed qualitative and quantitative goals.
  • You will stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacoeconomic and pharmacopolitical developments.

Reporting line / interfaces:

  • Report to the Director of Key Account Management.
  • Close cooperation in the KAM team as well as with marketing, sales, medical, market access, pricing, and operational customer care.

What you must bring (must criteria):

  • Several years of proven experience in strategic key account management with regional or national responsibility. This includes:
  • Several years of experience in dealing with pharmacists and decision-makers in clinics.
  • Proven experience in dealing with purchasing associations, clinic consortia, or similarly complex customer organizations.
  • Proven negotiation experience at the decision-maker level, including contract and price negotiations.
  • A thorough understanding of economic and structural decision-making mechanisms in the healthcare sector.
  • Experience in independently deriving strategic measures based on market and customer data.
  • Residence in Baden-Württemberg.
  • Fluent German language skills in speech and writing.

Desirable / strongly preferred:

  • Direct professional experience on the customer side (e.g., purchasing association, clinic group, wholesale).
  • Very good market knowledge as well as an existing network in Baden-Württemberg.
  • English language skills in speech and writing.
