Key Account Manager Companion Animal (M/F/D)

To strengthen our sales team in Switzerland, we are looking for a committed and proactive personality in a permanent position.

The Key Account Manager Companion Animal (KAM) is responsible for the end-to-end management of strategically relevant national and international veterinary medical corporate customers within the Companion Animal Business Unit in Switzerland. The role ensures sustainable growth, strong and long-term customer partnerships, and a consistent implementation of corporate account strategies.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Full commercial responsibility for the assigned key corporate accounts, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of the entire sales cycle.
  • Development, implementation, and continuous improvement of strategic account plans in accordance with national, regional, and global priorities.
  • Central contact person for the supported corporate customers as well as the management of complex internal and external stakeholder landscapes.
  • Leading interactions at the senior level with decision-makers of the corporate accounts, including business reviews, contract and condition negotiations, and long-term partnership discussions.
  • Ensuring cross-functional coordination and implementation through close cooperation with sales, marketing, technical, medical, finance, business operations, and other relevant functions.
  • Swiss interface function to regional and international corporate account management teams with a focus on alignment, information exchange, and consistent implementation of agreed frameworks.
  • Controlling account performance based on relevant KPIs, identifying opportunities and risks, and initiating appropriate follow-up measures.
  • Representing the company as a strategic partner to corporate customers while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer orientation.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Completed university degree in business administration, life sciences, veterinary medicine, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of professional experience in key account management, strategic sales, or in comparable commercial functions, ideally in the areas of animal health, pharmaceuticals, medtech, or in a similar B2B environment.
  • Proven experience in managing complex customer relationships with multiple stakeholders and decision levels.
  • Experience in matrix organizations and in working with regional and/or global teams.

  • Excellent strategic thinking combined with strong implementation and result orientation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • High commercial understanding and pronounced customer orientation.
  • Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and effectively prioritize.
