Sr. Technical Services Veterinarian – Swine

We are seeking an experienced, field-based Sr. Technical Services Veterinarian – Swine to join our Swine business unit. The successful candidate will partner closely with our sales and marketing teams and with key customers to support modern swine production through technical expertise, field support, and post-approval research.

Candidate must have a veterinary medicine degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in veterinary medicine focusing on modern swine production. This position will work closely with sales professionals to identify need. There is an expectation of 50-60 % travel to designated internal and external meetings, field investigations and assigned swine business projects.

Major Activities and Responsibilities:

The position encompasses numerous duties including and not limited to:

• Technical presentation of products and services offered by the company. This presentation will be to both internal and external customers and will include sales force training as well as guidance on implementation for external customers.
• Planning and performance of post-approval field research trials.
• Working with marketing personnel on key business initiatives.
• Working with key customers on product questions and adverse events.

This position will require approximately 50-60% or more travel to designated internal and external meetings, field investigations and assigned swine business projects.

This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and is comfortable in an independent work environment. This candidate must be competent in their public presentation skills and the use of Microsoft office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Must have current veterinary license in a U.S. state
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Technical Services role or commensurate type of veterinary experience focusing on swine production
• Candidate should have experience with modern swine production systems
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Must have good leadership skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

This position requires a minimum of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Candidate must have current veterinary license in a U.S. state.

This position is a field based technical services position within the Swine unit. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience in a Technical Services role or commensurate type of veterinary experience focusing on swine production. Candidate should have experience with modern swine production systems.

Salary Range:

$142,400.00 - $224,100.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
