For our Animal Health location Brussels, we are currently recruiting a Key Account Manager Swine.

Welcome to our team

Our Benelux commercial organization (119 FTE) is responsible for selling our entire, mostly preventive veterinary portfolio to veterinarians and wholesalers in the region. The department consists of talented experts working in different areas such as sales, marketing, market access, digital, commercial management and, of course, veterinary medicine and is spread over two offices in Boxmeer and Brussels. United by a shared passion, we strive to make our medicines, vaccines, services, and solutions accessible to animals and the caring individuals who oversee them. Our Swine Team focuses on reinforcing and budgeting our leading position in the market by working closely with veterinarians and hatcheries in the Benelux.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Sales Lead Swine, in this position you will have an important role in increasing our market share and strengthening our position in the Benelux by managing our key customers, driving innovation, and building lasting relationships in the poultry industry. You continuously keep our key accounts informed of the latest market developments and innovations. By fine-tuning our products and services to their specific needs, you will strengthen long-term relationships and expand our customer base.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure sales, draft commercial proposals, and handle pricing agreements and rebate settlements.
  • Keep customers informed about the latest market developments and innovations, tailoring products and services to meet their specific needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and tactical sales plans in collaboration with marketing, technical teams, and the Business Unit Director (BUD).
  • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities through networking within the swine industry and related sectors.
  • Leverage extensive technical knowledge and research within the organization to benefit customers.
  • Manage monthly forecasts.
  • Ensure customer information is continuously updated in the CRM system, using data analysis to refine strategies.
  • Work closely with veterinarians and farmers to implement effective solutions.
  • Together with the BUD and Sales Lead, develop yearly price lists and commercial policies, and analyze market data to improve pricing strategies.

Your profile

  • A completed education, at least HBO level.
  • At least 3 years of experience in animal health industry
  • High level of diplomacy, negotiating skills but constructive assertiveness in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant commercial work experience in the swine sector where you have gained successful experience in setting up sales strategies, developing commercial proposals, and achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent skills in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written skills in Dutch and English.
