Regional Key Account Manager – Animal Health (Cattle Feedlot Sector – NSW)

Exciting opportunity to join the Animal Health Division of a Multinational Pharmaceutical Company & Technology Company in Australia

Permanent Full-Time opportunity based within NSW, preferably Central or Northern region responsibility primarily covering NSW, Lead with your strong key account management skills and strategic thinking, as well as capitalising on a strong understanding of the Australian Cattle Feedlot industry to promote growth of the Feedlot Product Portfolio within the organisation's Ruminant Business Unit

Our Australian Ruminant Business Unit (BU) is currently transforming into a multifaceted livestock health solution provider with a diversified portfolio of OTC and S4 medicines, vaccines, and innovative Identification and Technology products. We are building a new kind of animal healthcare business – one that is focused on disease prevention and on-going traceability & animal health monitoring.

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Regional Key Account Manager to manage a client portfolio spanning primarily across New South Wales. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, Meat Value Chain, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and developing new business by spending time in the field visiting a variety of Cattle Feedlot personnel to establish and maintain commercial relationships to promote and educate on our offerings to the sector, as well as cultivating relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and execution of all tasks essential to the success of the Feedlot business within the Region
  • Achievement of Annual Sales Targets for Biopharmaceutical & Technology portfolios within agreed operational expense budgets
  • Management of medium to large-sized Key Accounts within the Region, with periodic travel outside the region potentially
  • Accountability for continuous improvement of your commercial skillset, product knowledge, technical knowledge, and evolving best-practice in Australian Feedlot enterprises.

You will have the following key attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business or Life Science discipline are desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrate considerable experience and successful track record in Sales and Key Account Management within the Animal Health or Agricultural sector. Experience with Technology related products highly desirable.
  • Have a sound understanding of the Australian Beef Cattle industry
  • Extensive knowledge of, and solid experience within, the Australian Feedlot industry would be highly regarded
  • Excellent business management skills including strategic analysis, territory planning and relationship management
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong influential relationships with Senior Customer personnel and other key external stakeholders
  • Ability to confidently identify, execute on, and capture business opportunities
  • Capable of complying with processes and procedures
  • Domiciled in Central or Northern NSW within close proximity to a Regional Airport and comfortable with the requirement for high frequency travel and time away from home
