How you will make an impact: As a member of our team of sales professionals, the Key Account Manager (KAM) develops new business for the company's highly successful product portfolios consisting of sterilizing-grade filters and single-use systems in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical market segments. The KAM will play a key role on our team ensuring sales targets and goals are met or exceeded. This position requires independent work to cover Singapore and focus on building new accounts by employing high-level consultatory and strategic selling, effective territory management, and relationship building.

Develop customers in assigned accounts while executing our Southeast Asia sales vision.

Actively identify new prospects and customers in addition to growing business in existing accounts.

Systematically prepare, identify key stakeholders, build out relationships, and find the most efficient path to win business. Manage customer relationships at multiple levels to ensure successful completion and execution of orders.

Visit customers regularly to promote strategic relationships and to identify new business opportunities.

Achieve or exceed annual sales targets and key goals for the filter and single-use system portfolios as set by the Business Development Director, Southeast Asia.

Develop and execute strategic business opportunities using knowledge of the biomanufacturing process.

Introduce, demonstrate, promote, and sell all current and new filter and single-use system products to prospective clients.

Serve as lead point of contact for all sales and technical inquiries from prospects and clients promptly and professionally with high attention to details.

Represent the company in a positive and loyal manner.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, marketing, operations) to meet client needs.

Apply high-level consultatory and strategic sales methods and techniques.

Participate in trade or industry shows, seminars, conferences, and meetings as instructed by the Business Development Director, Southeast Asia.

Execute promotional programs and sales campaigns.

Present the value proposition of the filter and single-use system programs to prospects, demonstrating superior applications and product knowledge.

Recognize and evaluate competitive situations and recommend appropriate sales tactics for success.

Monitor and provide regular reports concerning forecasts, prospects, sales activities, and marketing information.

Service prospective and existing customer needs and requirements.

Provide feedback on products and installation issues.

Track sales activity using CRM tools and maintain detailed account records.

Provide market intelligence, e.g., market channel trends, policies, practices, new products, sales campaigns, prices, discounts, and "special deals" as these are brought to attention to support innovation and strategy.

Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts.

Time & Travel Management Requirements:

Comply with all corporate travel and expense policies and guidelines.

Perform necessary travel within the territory following company travel policies.

Perform necessary travel as required, approximately 60% (domestic travel) of the time, including some weekends, using the most efficient method of travel for time and appointments.

Efficient time management skills with the ability to stay focused on primary business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Allocate time and take initiative to learn new products and services, new applications, and sales presentation skills for emerging markets and applications.

Complete and submit expense reports on time.

The skills and experience you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Business, or related field.

3+ years of successful experience in account management or business development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries is required.

Experience as a technically proficient sales professional selling filter, single-use systems and/or bioprocessing equipment in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry is highly preferred.

Must be team-oriented, a self-starter, customer focused, highly organized, well presented, possess excellent time management and prioritization skills, be disciplined and highly ethical.

Must analyze complex sales situations, overcome objections and deliver tangible sales results.

Must be able to formulate and implement strategic account plans.

Must have a driven personality, great business acumen, and exceptional leadership skills.

Must be accurate, careful, and thorough.

Work together with other departments and individuals in the organization and develop positive and supportive relationships with colleagues, internal staff and management.

Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and growing key accounts from remote location.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.

Excellent follow-up skills with customers, internal staff and management.

Successful sales techniques and professional skills including consultative selling.

Self-confidence, enthusiasm and a desire to excel.

Good listening skills and ability to value other opinions.

Present to large groups and individuals including customers, colleagues and middle and executive management.

Accept constructive criticism with professionalism and open mindedness.

Utilize computer skills is essential including the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM programs.
