Key Account Manager

The strategic key account manager is a "dual threat" leadership role responsible for the high-level health of Sound Seal's most critical direct partnerships and the optimization of the sales channel. Serving as the "channel builder," this role creates the infrastructure and market access that the hunter team uses to drive volume.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Channel Infrastructure: Identify, onboard, and ramp high-potential certified distributors and partners in underserved markets to expand Sound Seal's market footprint.
  • Account Maturity: Grow "share of wallet" within existing accounts, ensuring revenue retention exceeds 100% year-over-year through expansion and cross-selling.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Manage and mentor a team of regional sales managers, providing the tools, training, and strategic "air cover" they need to hit new business targets.
  • Executive Alignment: Conduct quarterly business reviews (qbrs) and lead strategic planning sessions with partner principals to align inventory and marketing with corporate objectives.
  • Specification Defense: Serve as the primary defender of Sound Seal specifications at the executive level, neutralizing competitive displacement attempts.
  • Conflict Resolution: Manage "channel conflict" between direct and indirect bidding to maintain pricing integrity and market harmony.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and crm software.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop actionable strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
