Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our client's team in Springfield, Massachusetts. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a key part in ensuring seamless communication with clients and brokers while managing essential administrative tasks. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the organization's success by delivering exceptional service and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls from clients and brokers to address inquiries and provide assistance.
  • Sort, date stamp, and distribute incoming mail to ensure timely processing.
  • Process checks and check requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Enter client information into the system and issue policies, ensuring prompt delivery to clients and brokers.
  • Generate and send finance agreements, insurance certificates, and other relevant documents.
  • Create and organize new client files while maintaining and updating existing records.
  • Prepare and issue prospect and renewal letters in accordance with client needs.
  • Update and manage the database, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Complete underwriting evaluation forms and assist with report preparation.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as photocopying, typing, and supporting special projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, including email correspondence.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word for document management.
  • Ability to schedule appointments and manage order entry processes.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Adaptability to take on miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned.
