The Opportunity: Project/Vendor Coordination Internship/Co-Op - Remote (Baltimore / DC area) Full Time - 40 hours per week Spring 2026 (Jan-May)
The Project Coordinator Intern will work as part of the program management team, supporting construction programs that consist of multiple timelines, locations, and risks for our multi-site clients. This internship provides hands-on experience in project coordination by assisting the Project Management Team with construction documentation, administration, and tracking of projects from pre-planning through construction and closeout. Interns will receive guidance and direction from Sr. Project Coordinators and Project Managers to help develop foundational skills within project management. At Sevan you will be part of a team that is dynamic and fast paced. Strong communication skills and a desire to be involved in all aspects of a project life cycle are a must. Problem solving skills, thinking outside the box and dealing with ambiguity are skills that we value. You will work alongside experienced individuals as well as the opportunity to operate independently.
Gain exposure to project management processes in a professional construction environment. Develop organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Learn to use industry-standard project management tools and systems. Build an understanding of the construction project lifecycle from real estate planning through closeout.
Lives in the Baltimore or DC area and ability to work in a remote setting. In progress: 4-year degree in construction management, business management, or related field seeking project coordinator or project management positions post-graduation. Strong ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the project team including management, project management, clients, client's organization, contractors, and vendors. Ability to prioritize and handle diverse workload. Willing to dive in, proactively ask for new things you can help with, desire to learn and ambition to excel. Strong attention to detail. Ability to tolerate ambiguity and be able to work effectively within a diverse workplace. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize in a changing work environment. Proficient working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and Smartsheet, preferred.
This is a remote based role with recurring travel to project locations. Multi-shift work may be required to accomplish work in active retail locations to meet aggressive schedules. Travel required (10-50%) on an as needed basis up to and including weekly site visits. The anticipated compensation range for the position is an hourly rate of $16 - $21 based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
