Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Agile Decision Sciences is seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative with call center experience in support of the DOT government agency National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Hotline. Bilingual experience is a plus. You must reside in the DC/MD/VA area. Requirements include a high school diploma/GED (some college work desirable), 2-3 years work experience in customer service call center or retail customer service and administrative work experience, proficiency with MS Office Suite, strong communication skills, good problem-solving skills, US citizenship or permanent residency, and the ability to obtain a public trust security clearance.

Responsibilities include receiving incoming calls and inquiries regarding vehicle safety recalls, child safety seats, vehicle equipment, publications, and other matters under the jurisdiction of NHTSA. Handle telephone calls courteously and efficiently using proper telephone etiquette, including preparing for incoming calls, speaking clearly, listening when taking incoming calls, being sensitive to the needs and moods of callers, dealing with irate callers, screening calls effectively, giving accurate information, transferring calls appropriately, taking complete and accurate messages, concluding a call courteously, and handling high volume calls expertly. Ensure the timely process through which call center problems are controlled and resolved. Identify the issue or problem of the inquiry and perform follow-up research to resolve any issues.
