Benefits Customer Service Associate
We are looking for a dedicated Benefits Customer Service Associate to support employees during Open Enrollment period. This contract position offers an opportunity to assist with health benefits inquiries and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist callers with inquiries related to health benefits during the Open Enrollment period.
- Provide accurate information about benefits eligibility, plan options, and enrollment processes.
- Handle high volumes of calls and emails with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain organized records and ensure proper documentation of benefit-related transactions.
- Resolve customer concerns with tact and diplomacy, ensuring a positive experience.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and support overall enrollment efforts.
- Participate in paid training sessions to gain knowledge of Baltimore's benefits system and processes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data security.
- Notify management promptly regarding any issues or potential extensions of the assignment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or office support, preferably supporting health insurance, open enrollment, or benefits administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computerized data entry systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology, medical insurance, and Medicare eligibility is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle challenging customer interactions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
