Field Technical Support

Our client, a leader in the technology support industry, is seeking a dedicated Field Technical Support professional to join their team. As a Field Technical Support, you will be part of the Technical Services Department supporting customer solutions and technical operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Williamsburg, VA

Pay Range: $18 to $22 hourly

What's the Job?

  • Respond to common service, product, technical, and customer-relations questions.
  • Monitor & resolve service tickets for printing related incidents and problems.
  • Initiate device-related trouble tickets into the customer supplied ticketing system.
  • Install and set up printers and apply customer configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve printer, print driver, and client system printing issues, non-reporting devices.

What's Needed?

  • Basic knowledge of HP products and services offerings.
  • Effective communication skills at technical and management levels.
  • Active listening skills and ability to tailor messages to the audience.
  • Problem-solving skills (proactive, reactive, and creative based on procedures).
  • Conceptual understanding of IT environments.
  • Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree preferred or Associate degree holder (technical field) with 3-5 years working experience in related fields desired.
