Accountable for all aspects of the engagement as the single point of deal quality, governance and cadence for the customer and the primary interface back into Lumen. Provides leadership across service strategy, service design, commercial framework options and heavy management of service operations across all areas of Lumen services.
This position involves interacting with customers located in the Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones. The role requires flexibility to work a schedule that aligns with those time zones, which may differ from your local time.
Manage all aspects of the pursuit, plan/prioritize opportunity and account engagement leveraging SET methodologies
Meet with customer executives and partner with account teams to define pursuit success metrics/solutions/models
Manage opportunity financial performance to ensure project/program viability and profitability
Present business cases, commercial models, and architectural solutions to Segment Leaders with local account teams
Lead Commercial Design Tower, develop commercial/pricing strategy and related models in collaboration with finance
Navigate Lumen Legal, Operations, Finance and Executive business priorities
Escalate internally for Executive, Business Unit, Segment Leader, Account Team for alignment to customer objectives
Identify business risks and collaborate to resolve gaps of Lumen business models with cross functional organization
Lead contract negotiations inclusive of business elements, commercials, legal, etc.
Positioning overall solution to Lumen Business Executives, the Deal Quality Assurance committee, and the customer
Minimum skills required to perform in this role:
8 years of relevant job experience with similar essential duties
Proficiency in translating customer drivers to differentiated value positioning
Internal selling: fostering advocacy and buy-in across presales supporting organizations
Internal and external financial acumen and competitive landscape analysis
Project/Program management experience and service transition planning
Complex contract negotiation skills
Preferred skills:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
Demonstrated technical sales experience (at least 8 years) in telecommunications sales and solution leadership experience
Experience leading teams selling complex solutions and services
Exceptional strategic planning, solution management and contract/service negotiations skills.
Experience in consultative sales techniques, account planning and positioning strategy, customer needs analysis, and sales opportunity development.
Track record of consistently exceeding sales and revenue goals.
High energy level and demonstrated drive to succeed.

$125,906 - $167,864 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$131,891 - $175,854 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
