We are currently seeking a Computer Support Technician to join our team in Los Angeles, California (US-CA), United States (US). Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer Support Technician to join our on-site IT team at a hospital. This role is responsible for supporting, repairing, replacing, and relocating computers and peripherals throughout the facility. While healthcare experience is a plus, it is not required. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence.
Key responsibilities include: providing hands-on support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals; diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner; installing, configuring, and upgrading operating systems and applications; relocating and setting up IT equipment for staff moves and department changes; using ServiceNow to manage and document support tickets and work performed; collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to minimize disruption to patient care; escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary; ensuring compliance with hospital IT policies, including data security and privacy standards; supporting mobile devices and hospital-specific applications; assisting with onboarding and offboarding of hospital staff from an IT perspective; participating in routine maintenance, patching, and updates of systems; providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
Basic qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role. Preferred qualifications include experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment, familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, strong customer service orientation and attention to detail. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), and ITIL Foundation Certification are preferred but not required. Education: a high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or technical training in IT preferred.
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The pay range for this role is $32.43/hr. – $34.61/hr. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
