Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Private Sector sales team, with a strong emphasis on growing and expanding customer accounts while actively driving new business opportunities. This role is weighted more heavily towards account management, owning and growing a defined portfolio of customers, but with an expectation that you will also proactively identify, develop and convert new logo opportunities within the private sector.

You will be responsible for building trusted, long term relationships with customers, deeply understanding their business and technology landscape, and positioning Logicalis as a strategic partner in their digital transformation journey. Working closely with vendors, pre sales and delivery teams, you will shape solutions across our full go to market portfolio while delivering sustainable revenue and margin growth.

Key accountabilities:

Account management and growth

  • Own and manage an assigned portfolio of private sector accounts, with a clear focus on retention, satisfaction and long term growth.
  • Build strong, trust based relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers, acting as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters.
  • Develop account plans that identify opportunities for upsell, cross sell and expansion across Logicalis solutions and services.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle within existing accounts, from opportunity identification through to negotiation, close and handover.

Business development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the private sector using proactive prospecting, networking and referrals.
  • Leverage your professional network to generate new logo opportunities and build pipeline.
  • Work with marketing, vendors and internal teams to support go to market initiatives and targeted campaigns.
  • Stay across market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities.

Solution and proposal development

  • Work closely with pre sales and technical teams to translate customer needs into well scoped, value driven solutions.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes and business cases that clearly articulate outcomes and value.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and vendor pricing to deliver competitive, mutually beneficial agreements.

Performance and reporting

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets across your account portfolio and new business contributions.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline and forecast information within CRM.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, customer activity and market insights.

About you:

You are a relationship first Account Manager who enjoys growing accounts just as much as winning new business. You are commercially astute, comfortable managing complex sales cycles and confident engaging at both operational and executive levels.

You bring a customer centric mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to balance account management priorities with proactive business development.

Experience and requirements:

  • Proven track record in account management, growing and retaining customer portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue and close new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of IT solutions and services across areas such as cloud, connectivity, collaboration, security and managed services.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with vendors and distributors.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
