Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, ensuring service delivery excellence, and driving account growth. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, aligning client needs with tailored solutions and maintaining a customer-first mindset. Success requires strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a contract to hire opportunity located near Schaumburg IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison between the company and assigned clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Maintain and grow professional relationships with existing accounts; identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Manage day-to-day account operations, including quoting, order entry, and issue resolution.
• Negotiate pricing and make informed financial decisions based on company strategies.
• Achieve monthly account targets and contribute to revenue growth.
• Build shipments in TMS and schedule appointments per customer specifications (for logistics-focused roles).
• Provide proactive updates and accurate communication to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of account management or sales experience; industry-specific experience (e.g., logistics, medical devices, recruitment) is a plus.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Pay $24-$30 an hour depending on experience
