We are seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Rigids division — a key role managing some of our largest and most strategic clients in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and shape the future of sustainable packaging with a global industry leader.

Reporting to the Sales Director, Rigids & Flexibles, you will be responsible for managing and developing a defined portfolio of key accounts while identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that create long-term value for both our customers and our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key clients, acting as their main point of contact.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to meet sales targets, drive growth, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Lead negotiations on trade terms, promotions, and pricing to ensure commercial success and competitiveness.
  • Analyse market trends, sales data, and customer insights to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage customer budgets and provide accurate sales forecasts across key accounts.
  • Partner with internal teams across product development, logistics, marketing, and operations to deliver on client expectations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, account activity, and market developments.
  • Handle customer concerns effectively to ensure a consistently high level of satisfaction.
  • Present new products and solutions to clients, and relay market demand to internal teams for future innovation.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in sales or account management, ideally within the packaging or FMCG sector.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions in complex situations.
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across functions and within a matrix organization.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and advanced MS Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insight into actionable commercial plans.
