Account Manager

Kinsta is a modern cloud hosting company, with a growing club of 25,000+ customers including startups, universities and Fortune 500 firms. We're motivated by excellent quality, and proud to have received a 97% satisfaction rating from our customers. That's because, to us, each day is a chance to grow. As a team, we continuously inspire each other to learn new and better ways to make an impact. We own our jobs proudly - our leaders don't hold our hands, but they're in our corner whenever we ask for help - and our environment is flexible and remote-first.

We are looking for a motivated Account Manager in the EMEA region who will be responsible for managing existing client accounts and generating additional revenue by working with customers on upselling, cross-selling, and retention. This is a post-sale, client-facing role, and the Account Manager is a quota-carrying contributor. Account managers will work with a dedicated group of clients (known as their book of business) for the entirety of the client's time at Kinsta to help achieve the client's goals and represent Kinsta in non-technical support customer interactions. Account managers are also tasked with retaining the client's business and growing these accounts through upsells and cross-sells. An ideal candidate is someone who is proactive and has a knack for building relationships. Also, someone who is tech-savvy, process-driven, and loves the thrill of seeking out additional revenue and closing deals!

What You Will Do:

  • Own and manage a book of business
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, maintain client satisfaction, handle account upsells/cross-sells, and help clients strategize on getting the most from Kinsta's offerings.
  • Identify the health and overall satisfaction of each account in your book of business in order to pinpoint at-risk clients and improve retention rates.
  • Spearhead a process-driven sales approach to seek additional revenue opportunities within your book of business
  • Become a specialist on Kinsta's service and solutions, the benefits they provide, and their value to our customers.
  • Become knowledgeable about the market competition in order to retain and upsell clients.
  • Coordinate with internal Departments to resolve problems and provide service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with your book of business, including regular account reviews and communication to ensure they are deriving maximum value.
  • Develop growth strategies to increase your book of business
  • Provide timely and accurate deal updates to management and executives on a regular basis. Identify product and process improvements through conversations with clients
  • Assist other Account Managers daily to achieve team quota success.
  • Meet (or exceed!) revenue and retention targets.
  • Build, maintain, and close pipeline to consistently exceed quota.
  • Meet or exceed all of your daily and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Position our company's capabilities and value proposition to resolve customer concerns or objections around Kinsta's services.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date information on customers and deals within HubSpot CRM.
  • Make effective and efficient use of our sales engineers to educate customers and help them make informed buying decisions.

What You Bring To The Role:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of previous SaaS Sales or Account Management experience
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Experience up-selling, cross-selling and renegotiation contracts
  • Tech-savvy, with a strong interest in technology.
  • Near-native proficiency in English and exceptional writing skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Our Benefits:

  • Flexible and remote-first environment.
  • Annual remote expense budget.
  • Flexible PTO.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Annual professional development budget: available after one year with Kinsta.
  • Sabbatical: available after three years with Kinsta (and every three years thereafter).
  • Location-specific healthcare benefits (includes vision and dental) for employees hired in the USA, UK and Hungary.
  • Pension plan for employees hired in the UK, and 401k contributions for employees hired in the USA.
