Job Description:

The Project Coordinator (Construction) will work directly under the supervision of the Project Manager to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role will ensure project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Project Coordinator serves as a key liaison between project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to maintain effective communication, accurate documentation, and smooth project workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project oversight, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
  • Monitor project budgets, invoices, and change orders; support cost-control efforts.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, schedules, and progress reports.
  • Track project milestones and deadlines, escalating issues to the Project Manager as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure clarity on project goals, expectations, and timelines.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance with construction standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist with equipment, material submittals and procurement activities, such as sourcing materials and equipment.
  • Prepare status reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the project team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing correspondence.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years of experience in construction project coordination, project administration or related role
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS). If designated to have access at time of hire
