Kentro is hiring an IT Service Manager to support the USAID. The objective of this engagement is to support the USAID Office of the Chief Information Officer (M/CIO) in managing the agency's Information technology infrastructure and operations.

The IT Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, optimizing processes for efficiency, managing team performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals through effective planning, coordination, and execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a sustainable and optimized IT infrastructure and cloud services for USAID.
  • Align IT operations with USAID's business objectives to promote agility and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with the State Department's Bureau of Diplomacy Technology to maintain consistent service levels.
  • Monitoring IT policies and standards to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of all systems, networks, and cloud platforms.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to drive operational improvements.
  • Provide oversight to ensure the protection of systems, data, and intellectual property against cyber threats, while supporting system managers with guidance on vulnerability management and remediation.
  • Assist in the development of operational budgets and resource planning.
  • Draft and review IT services Standard operating procedures.

Deliverables:

  • Monthly report on status (tasks completed, upcoming priorities, blockers/risks, and mitigation strategies) and work priorities.

Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC. Flexibility to be on site as needed.
