Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to computer systems, software, and hardware. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting end-user environments and maintaining IT infrastructure in a fast-paced business setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and application issues
  • Support Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Manage Active Directory (user accounts, password resets, group membership, basic GPO support)
  • Perform workstation imaging, deployments, and upgrades
  • Maintain asset inventory and documentation
  • Support VPN connectivity and remote access tools
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams as needed
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high user satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on desktop support experience
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows 10/11
    • Microsoft 365
    • Active Directory
    • Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Certifications

  • CompTIA A+
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation (v4 preferred)
