Control Manager, Wholesale Client Onboarding
As a Control Manager within Wholesale Client Onboarding at JPMorganChase, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating compliance and operational risks. The role sits at the intersection of control management and product & technology risk. You will collaborate to design and implement effective control strategies, ensuring our operations are secure and efficient. Your work will directly contribute to the firm's success and help maintain our reputation for excellence. Job responsibilities
- Partner with Client Onboarding Product and Transformation, Technology, Operations, Compliance and other areas to develop Control Issues and Action Plans.
- Manage delivery of Issues and Action plans within timelines.
- Perform control assessments, QA reviews, Issue closure testing, and oversight of remediation plans to verify sustained control performance.
- Collaborate with Technology Risk, Product and Operations teams to triage emerging issues and incidents.
- Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, with emphasis on root-cause analysis and actionable remediation recommendations.
- Partner effectively with Product and Operations on Transformation projects and changes to the operating environment to identify risks and implement controls.
- Prepare reporting materials on the state of the control environment.
- Develop and implement effective control strategies to mitigate risks utilizing your skills in risk management, process improvement and project management.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, applying your presentation skills and listening & questioning abilities.
- Drive continuous improvement in risk management practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years of experience (or equivalent expertise) in Operations / technology risk management, information security, or related fields with a focus on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation and risk management framework.
- Knowledge of Data Risk Management, Data Segregation, Access controls and Data Localization requirements.
- Experience of working with Product & Technology to review control design of new product roll out and managing Tech issues.
- Knowledge and demonstrated capabilities on AI tools, AI Risks & Governance.
- Experience with use of AI-powered tools and large language model (LLM) applications to enhance documentation quality and process efficiency.
- Experience with control evidence collection for data integrity testing (e.g., data feed APIs between systems).
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Alteryx & Tableau.
- Experience of working in a global, matrixed organization.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and translate insights into actionable strategies for senior executives.
- Demonstrated track record of working on deadlines, delivering results, with accountability and responsibility for independent workload.
- Relationship building and networking across firm's functions and geographies to expand influence, knowledge, and collaboration.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering impactful presentations.
- Ability to influence change and manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with Risk Management framework, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Knowledge of the product development life cycle, service design, and data analytics.
- Experience in technology risk management within financial services or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to technology risk.
- Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience with AML/KYC frameworks and associated regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with wholesale client onboarding processes or documentation standards.
- Experience with financial services regulatory environments (e.g., OCC, FRB, or equivalent).
