At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
The UK water industry is on the brink of its most exciting transformation in decades. With major new investment and the Independent Water Commission's recent review, the sector is entering a once in a generation era of change—creating huge opportunities to rethink how water and wastewater services are delivered.
And Jacobs are right at the centre of it. We work in partnership with some of the UK's largest and most forward thinking water companies, supporting programmes that deliver practical, measurable outcomes. From early planning and feasibility through to design, delivery support and operations, we bring together technical expertise and strong coordination to help projects move efficiently from concept to completion.
As our work here at Jacobs continues to grow, we're looking for Project Coordinators who are interested in building a career within the water sector and developing their skills in a delivery focused environment. This role offers the chance to learn on the job, gain exposure to complex programmes and contribute to projects that support essential public services.
Based primarily in our Manchester office, with regular interaction at United Utilities' Warrington office, you'll support a large, multi workstream programme embedded within United Utilities. Your role will focus on helping keep delivery organised and coordinated across multiple sites.
You'll act as an important link between project engineers, contractors and client stakeholders. This includes maintaining trackers and reports that provide clear visibility of activity across sites and workstreams, keeping information accurate and up to date.
You'll coordinate surveys, site visits and follow-on activities, confirming access requirements, dates and dependencies so work can progress smoothly.
You'll follow up on actions, capture outcomes and help ensure information is shared between teams to avoid unnecessary repeat visits or duplication of effort.
Clear communication is a central part of the role. You'll support meetings with concise updates, circulate actions and follow them through.
You'll help teams working on related assets stay informed by sharing relevant information and highlighting opportunities to coordinate activity.
You'll work day to day within a hybrid Jacobs and United Utilities team, building effective working relationships with United Utilities colleagues, Jacobs workstream leads and suppliers.
This is a people facing coordination role requiring good organisation, proactivity and being comfortable working with a range of stakeholders. You'll be happy communicating by phone and email, following up actions and managing multiple priorities in a busy delivery environment.
This is a hybrid 2 days Manchester office based role within a hybrid Jacobs and United Utilities setup, and regular interaction with the United Utilities office in Warrington. Occasional travel to Warrington might be required as part of 2 day set up.
