The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the main United Nations institution for information and communication technologies. It connects the world by managing the international radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, strengthening communication infrastructure in developing countries, and developing global standards that ensure the seamless interconnection of diverse communication systems. The ITU also organizes global TELECOM events, bringing together leading representatives from the public and private sectors to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge for the benefit of all.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Project Support Division, the incumbent is responsible for providing coordination services for all projects of the Bureau of Telecommunication Development (BDT) worldwide, in accordance with prescribed deadlines, costs, and quality standards. He/she will also encourage the spirit of collaboration and cooperation to achieve results, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the organization.

Good knowledge of project management principles. Knowledge of the working methods of the BDT would be an advantage.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Higher university degree in telecommunications, computer science, engineering, project management, business, economics, social sciences, political science, or a related field OR training received at a reputable higher education institution, certified by a diploma equivalent to a higher university degree in one of the above fields. For internal candidates, a first university degree in one of the above fields, coupled with ten years of relevant professional experience, may replace the higher university degree for promotion or rotation purposes.
Experience: At least seven years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in partnership, technical cooperation, and development assistance, including at least three years at the international level. A doctorate in a related field may be considered equivalent to three years of professional experience.
Languages: Knowledge of one of the six official languages of the Union (English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian) at an advanced level and knowledge of a second official language at an intermediate level. Knowledge of a third official language would be an advantage. (Under the provisions of Council Resolution 626, the language requirements may be relaxed for candidates from developing countries: when candidates from these countries possess in-depth knowledge of one of the official languages of the Union, their application may be considered).
Salary: The total annual salary consists of an annual net salary (after tax and before deduction of health insurance and pension contributions) in US dollars and a post allowance (cost of living allowance). Annual salary starting from $84,672 + post allowance $68,923
